I don’t know about you, but I LOVE trying new styles and looks with my hair. Whether it’s tossing on a hat, scarf or even trying out a new curling technique.
Spicing up your wig game doesn’t have to mean breaking the bank!
Here are the top 5 ways you can accessorize your wig this year:
1. Headbands and Scarves:
Adding either a headband or scarf can instantly spice up your look! You can choose a simple solid colour, or make the scarf/headband your fashion statement! The best part? Headbands and scarves are usually inexpensive, so you can have a variety to choose from without breaking the bank.
2. Hair Clips:
Hair clips are a great way to add some sparkle and shine to your wig. I personally love using claw clips to do a half-do, or even to add a bit of extra “va va voom” to a messy bun (which you can see below). I prefer using claw clips over bobby pins, but that’s likely because I can never find bobby pins when I’m looking for them! Plus, there are so many different colours and sizes of hair clips to choose from!
3. Hats:
As I mentioned in my Instagram stories, I LOVE Hats! Ball caps, beanies, fedoras, berets, sun hats - the list goes on! Not only do they add to your outfit, but they’re also great for “bad hair” days, when you don’t feel like doing anything to your hair and just want to keep it casual! Just make sure that if you’re wearing hats with a lace front or full lace wig, be sure the hat isn’t too tight, as it can cause the knots to loosen over time.

4. Earrings:
I don’t know about you, but when I started losing my hair again in my early 20s, I started getting more ear piercings and started decorating my ears. I love wearing different jewelry depending on which wig I’m wearing, as I find it can be a great way to draw attention to your face and can help “balance”out the overall look of your wig.
5. Glasses:
I’m a firm believer that a good pair of glasses or sunglasses can make you feel extra confident. And for those who may be worried about people noticing their hair line or part, I find that wearing a funky pair of glasses can redirect the attention, while also accessorizing your wig.
