Why You Shouldn’t Settle For Less

Why You Shouldn’t Settle For Less

We have all been there, whether we are just starting out on our journey or a few years down the road.

We have all SETTLED or “made do” with what we had - whether that meant taking in a cap on our own, fixing a botched colouring job, changing the unrealistic part line, amongst other things…

As someone who has sewn extensions into her own thinning wigs, has altered the cap construction, coloured, styled and cut the hair in order to have it look more natural, etc… I often ask myself WHY. Why did I do those things?

And if I’m being honest, it’s because at the time, it was due to lack of resources, not having as much knowledge or access to the world of wigs, as well as finances from time to time (I was a student working 3-5 jobs to make ends meet).
However, as I moved into my early 20s, I realized that enough was enough, and I was no longer going to settle for NO hair & BAD hair!

As we all know, not all alternative hair options are created equal which is why it’s so important not to settle for less than what you’re looking and hoping for.

Investing in high-quality alternative hair that looks natural and blends seamlessly with your own hair (or lack of hair) is key to feeling confident and comfortable. Most high grade wigs will have natural parting, as well as different sizing options to ensure the cap fits snuggly without any bunching or extra material.

Another reason not to settle for less is the potential damage that cheap or poorly made alternative hair can cause to your natural hair & scalp.

Choosing quality alternative hair made with real human hair or gentle synthetic materials can help protect your natural hair & scalp and ensure that they stay healthy.

Settling for less when it comes to alternative hair can lead to frustration and disappointment. Cheap wigs or extensions may not hold up well over time, and you may find yourself needing to replace them frequently. This can be both time-consuming and expensive in the long run.

It’s important to remember that alternative hair can be a big investment, both in terms of money and time. When you're considering a wig, extensions, or other hairpieces, you should take the time to research, ask questions and compare options.

Look for reputable brands that offer quality products, as well as those that offer good customer support.

Just think - You wouldn’t try to shove your feet into shoes that were too sizes too small simply because you loved the colour or style… so why would you “make do” with a hair piece that isn’t the right colour, style, length or fit for you?

Don't settle for less - your hair (and your confidence) deserve the best!
